Grayton Tomorrow

Tomorrow the journey is to Grayton Beach State Park for a week of camping. I have had a busy school year thus far Tech-ing for the Teachers. I really enjoy it, but I am also really ready for a break. I will try and start blogging a bit more. Let's see where this journey takes us.

Life is Grand

Been quite some time since I have added a line or so. Life is as good as I could have really ever imagined. It is certainly not perfect, but is better than I could have asked for. Currently I am running about 12 miles a week and for the most part eat a good diet and have few bad habits. I do suffer from a bit of free floating anxiety, but am handling it currently with exercise and diet. I am looking forware to labor day weekend camping and going to Grayton Beach during Fall break. We will also be doing some weekend canoe trips down the Harpeth once we get over the start of school rush.

Four Weeks to Fifty Streak

Well, four weeks to fifty. I am currently making a streak this month to develope ingrained habits that will carry me through my next half century or whatever portion in which I thrive. I am at a better spot in my life as far as contentment for which I have ever been. I will focus on physical, spiritual, and mental/emotional balance as I strive to syc with the world. So, the adventure continues.

Still Journeying, Not Blogging

Still prodding forward, though haven't written "here" in a while. Trying to get still more consistant in the fitness real, though overall for a mid-lifer doing pretty good. I would say I would be considered doing pretty good for even most much younger. It is a crisis the level of inactivity accopanied by over-stuffing that prevades our society. Guess I just need to worry about myself and leave the rest of society out of it. (Though I have difficulties with this)

Just got over a weekend stomach "flu". My wife and I were both sick at the same time and Rad (our seven year old) for the most part managed without our assistance just fine. This weekend we are going to visit his sister Amanda in Kennesaw, GA. Looking forward to seeing her. Seems the only way we get to is to drive down. We will stay at the LaQuinta as they are readily agreeable to our "Puggle" Logan coming along. For the most part where we go, so does Logan.

Windows Live Writer?

Going to try and post with Windows Live Writer and see how this works, or if it works. This is just a post on a whim. Haven’t written much lately, so maybe I will bet in the mood.

Slow Start to New Year

Well, not off with a bang on my resolve for this new year, though that could be a good thing. It may well be best to build momentum as the year progresses. I am an all or nothing individual and I need to seek a bit more balance. I am in no hurry to make any changes at all, though I am seeking physical, diet, and spiritual changes and balance. I am for health and environmental reasons not eating red meat and I will eat a balanced moderate diet, while finding some daily physical activity. I would like to log 500 running miles this year if my body holds up. Just logged 300 only the past two years. We will see what happens.

Did start the year off at Collier-Seminole State Park, near Naples, FL. We had a blast. A very active vacation with running, bicycling, beach, and a 14 mile canoe trip along the Blackwater river and into the mouth of the bay. That is the way to start a year.

Happy New Year!

Well, just back from a great camping trip at Collier-Seminole State Park, near Naples, FL and the Everglades. We had a super time and got in quite a bit of physical activity. We canoed the Blackwater River for 14 miles and saw a variety of wildlife. New Years Eve was a mellow celebration with mainly Rad camp friends stopping by to visit. I ran for three days this week, a 5K each time. I look forward to following through on several "resolutions". Many which I have been working on for many years with some success. I am looking forward to getting the fine tuning done before my 50th birthday.
